I have a new Galaxie A9+. Transfered info from my old tablet - it didn't have a PIN. Now the A9+ wants a PIN. There is no option for 'forgot PIN'. What do I do?

Is it asking you to set a PIN or to put in an already established PIN? As far as I know, new tablets don't come with a default PIN and PINs (if you had one) are never stored with the backup or transferred between devices. If you still have your old tablet, factory reset the new one and either try your smart switch transfer again or restore your Samsung backup from the cloud. The only way to reset a device PIN is to factory reset the device.

If it's not now asking you to set up a pin, then the only way to resolve the issue that I know of is to factory reset the phone and create a new pin number.
