S22 Ultra 100x Zoom

Standing in my house, using the door frame to help me steady the camera, I took pictures with both my S21 Ultra (bottom photo) and S22 Ultra (top photo) from about 150 feet away. I zoomed in to 100x on both cameras, tapped the steady function, locked in the focus and snapped the photo. I only took one of each. I can't believe the difference between the quality of the S21 Ultra in the S22 Ultra.

My bad, the most clear and detailed picture is the S22 Ultra.

Odd indeed. I have a 21 Ultra and 22 Ultra ... the image output is the same with each ... both good quality

But yea, that looks like quite a bit of "JPG smear" from your 21.

100x on the s20 Ultra is unusable.

Yes it is, that's why I traded mine in for the S22 ultra, now my S21 Ultra is my backup.

It looks like, on the 21, the focus was set to some object nearer in the foreground

Oh thanks for the step by step, I'm pretty bad with picture quality even at just x20-30. Hope I can try similar focus tricks

My camera is one of the best features I have discovered on my phone. I also like to crop my pics a lot which I learned how to do from a previous couple of phones that I currently still own.
