I think I understand your question I just want to make sure. You want to be able to plug your phone in and not have it charging the battery while it's plugged in and you're playing the game so that way the power will only be going to the phone and not trying to charge the battery. Is that right? If that's the right question, then I believe the answer is at the present time no you can't do it. Hopefully somebody can correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi, is it possible, or, if not right now, is it planned for the future to be able to power a Samsung phone directly using a wall charger? For example, while gaming, to not damage the battery. I think ROG has a feature like this, and, in my opinion, it would be great if Samsung had it.

Yes, that's what I meant. I am not sure if it can be done by a software update or if it has to be an actual hardware feature. It would be nice to have in the future if it doesn't exist at the moment.

If you have a newer phone, look in your game booster settings to see if you have "pause USB pd charging while gaming". If it's there, that will do what you're asking for. It came out with the S24 series. I don't know if any A-series phones have it.

You'll need a 25 Watt charging cord and brick to use that feature.

Does it actually do that? I saw it, but from what I understand, it only starts charging when the battery is below 20% and then disconnects charging. However, I never tried how it works. If it indeed powers the phone via the cable and not the battery, that's exactly what I'm looking for.

Yes, your battery has to be above 20% for it to work. I'm not a gamer but my wife uses it all the time.
