I understand ads being necessary for free game apps. Truly, I do. However, an ad should not force your browser to open, nor should it shut down any/all Wi-Fi connections or sounds that are playing on your device untilthead is finished, forcing yoi to then close the browser and reestablish the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connections. Again, I understand the need for ads, but when those ads take complete control over your device, that is another issue entirely.

Watching an ad is okay - taking control of my device is unacceptable. Period! Thank you,

Ads do not come from Samsung, so this is not a Samsung issue.
Ads come from the games you downloaded and play. Samsung doesnt send you games, your carrier does if you have a carrier phone. If you want to get rid of the ads get rid of the game, pay for the premium version, or use a blocker (antivirus/anti malware program). Also, contact the game developer to tell them the ads being served are intrusive.

You allowed something you shouldn't have, because this is not default behavior. you gave an app system permissions when it doesn't need it. and there shouldn't be any ads within the system regardless, this isnt xiaomi redmi or other cheap chinese OS

Try this adblocking DNS on your phone it will stop all ads in games, browsers except for sites and apps that self host their ads such as Facebook or YouTube that host their own ads

Settings > connections > more connection settings > private DNS

I never heard of that DNS service.

I use dns.adguard-dns.com it guarantees privacy without logging. As always check the DNS provider. Changing the DNS will not always stop ads in the browser web pages.

I recommend using Brave browser to eliminate ads on webpages.

I use the two above as ll the time n never had any issues.

There is another way, but it requires that you have Samsung Internet set as your default browser. Other browsers may have similar settings, but I'm not familiar with them.

In Samsung Internet, open settings. Open Privacy Dashboard.

Tap "Block apps from opening internet".

You will see a list of all the apps on your phone. They will probably be sorted into order of how often the apps are opened, with the most used ones at the top of the list. Unfortunately, there is no option to sort alphabetically.

Just toggle off any apps you don't want opening a web page.

That only applies if the ads popping up are actually opening a web browser, which they won't unless one clicks on them. Believe it or not, some people may actually deliberately click on an ad and want the browser to open. Ads in apps are what keeps them free to the user, since most people want stuff for free and the app developers need to make a living. The problem with the ads comes when they escape the app and are popping up absent any game or app being opened. This usually means that either the ad server has been hijacked by bad actors, or the user clicked a malicious link in a browser, which infected the phone. In that case, one needs to utilize a cleaner app.

I know. That's why my strategy has been to close the app when an ad comes on and then reopen it. Takes less time than letting the ad run through 3 screens, each tim clicking close only to find it's continuing
