Allowed Callers for Do Not Disturb Doesn't Work

Don't know if anyone else is having this problem.

My S25 Ultra is running Beta 10.

Submitted a Bug Eeport on this last night.

This really caused a problem with my wife trying to call from the Emergency Room with her phone last night.

I have used this feature before so family can get a hold of us in the event of an emergency at night when Do not Disturb is enabled.

Settings > Notifications > Do not Disturb > Allowed during Do not Disturb, is Not Working. Causes Setting to crash and close.

Last evening I had to bring my mother-in-law to the ER for her heart. My wife went in with her and I waited in car. After awhile, my wife said for me to go home and she would call me later.

Both of us have our phones set to Do not Disturb from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. My wife and a few other family members are set so they can call when Do not Disturb is enabled.

Well my wife tried contacting me late night and my phone never rang and went to Direct Voicemail. Only reason I knew she called is because I was using my phone when I noticed the bar appeared across the top of the screen for calls. clicked on it to bring the caller screen up and it showed as having gone to Direct Voicemail and the answer button was showing. was able to hit the answer button so I could talk to my wife before she hung up.

After this, I tried several times to access the Do not Disturb > Allowed callers and every time the Settings crashes and closed. tried couple hours later and it did the same thing including this morning. Just tried it again a short while ago.

It seems Allowed Callers during Do Not Disturb fails to work. Don't know if this is a bug or if it's caused by Direct Voicemail being enabled.

We really needed this feature with the ER last night. Without this feature, no one can get ahold of us for emergencies at night.

Currently, my bug report last night is showing as "Under Review"

Sorry to hear that happened! I just set up do not disturb with an allowed contact and it worked without issue on Beta 10. Do you happen to run any themes that may be causing settings to crash? That's the only thing I can think of.

It's working fine for me as well. It's the first feature to be set up on a new phone.

no themes, no social networking, no good lock.

I mostly use my phone for calls, texting, appointments using Samsung scheduler, MCL Heart app for my pacemaker, CVS Health for the pharmacy, Walmart app, Exxon/Mobile Rewards for gas, Amazon Shopping, a few Microsoft apps and a few other necessary apps.

No gaming and no surfing other than to use Google occasionally to look some stuff up.

I do use Direct Messaging as it's more convenient and Google messages.

for the most part, I'm not glued to my phone and I don't always keep it on me.

No themes or anything else.

Do not Disturb > Allowed during Do not Disturb, trying to access "Calls and Messages" it crashes every time I try to access this to check it.

During Do not Disturb, my phone wouldn't ring and there was no Notification audible alerts.

the only thing there was while I was checking my phone was the green bar that appears up top showing a call.

tapped the bar and I was able to pick up the call by hitting the answer button.

this is frustrating knowing no allowed caller can contact me during Do no Disturb for emergencies.

last time I had received a call during Do not Disturb was prior to the One UI 8.5 beta program.

I got this phone back in January 2025

Yeah DND settings have been iffy for me forever. Either allow all except specific contacts or disallow all except specific contacts.

One or the other doesn't work correctly for me. I have to play around with it to get it work and then even then I'm not convinced it will stick. I rarely use DND now. 😞

I have issues with this feature for some years now. At times, it works and at others, it does not.

I've got 9 allowed to call or text me during Do not Disturb.

but every time I go to check the setting for this, Setting crashes and closes.

it worked just fine under One UI 8.0

I've definitely experienced this in OneUi 8.0 but so far not in 8.5. It's been an issue previously so I'm sure it's not easy to replicate or fix.
