Satellite messaging not working?

My satellite messaging has not been able to work. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but my friend with the same phone running One UI 7 got a notification for satellite texting while we were out without service, and I could not get it working for myself.

My s25u gets satellite messaging fine. You can't use satellite messaging if your phone can see even a hint of a cell tower though.

1. Open Samsung Members.
