Samsung got rid of the Clear Cache Partition option in the February One UI 8 / One UI 8.5 Beta 6.

Why'd they take it out?

We used to use this after every software update.

No clue why they did this, or if they'll bring it back?

Thank you for sharing your observation.

System and recovery menu options may change as part of ongoing software updates.

"you should rely on clearing individual app cache if you experience issues."

☝🏾☝🏾 That clearly states that clearing cache is effective at remedying issues. It's illogical to say that wiping cache partition is obsolete, yet in the same breath say that if an app is having issues, wipe it's cache.. 🤷🏾‍♂️ it isn't adding up.. Maybe I'm missing something here.

App Caches are stored in the Cache Partition correct?

That's correct; it's for temporary system data, log files, and app fragments. But now the update does that for you, so you don't need to. Still, if you have any problem with any app, you can clear that app's cache. They're just making it easier for you.

So when you do the update, it does that for you. You don't have to do anything. But if you have a problem with an app, you only do that with this app. You don't need to do it for all apps when you only have a problem with one app.
