Google Messages cannot open URLs since beta 3

Since installing beta 3 any URLs I receive via text cannot be tapped to open. When I tap it I see a popup saying "could not find an appropriate application".

I've tried clearing the cache partition and using Good Guardians - Galaxy App Booster. I've also made certain that my default browser and messaging apps are properly set. Last, I cleared cache and data from Google Messages. Nothing helped. Anyone else?

After leaving the Messages beta program and installing the standard Google Messages app, the sharing function now operates correctly.

I am on the Messages beta. Last update was June 24 and that version had no issues with beta 2. Samsung should look into this.

I noticed that it wiped the default app for me, so I had to set Open Better With back as my default app. After that, tapping links in Google Messages were working fine
