Google News feed look really odd

So normally the News feed is broken into two columns for the fold but now it is stuck in one column and cutting off text. Samsung News looks great. I mainly use Google because it holds me recommended and search results so I see deals and stuff on items of have recently looked at.

I reported this as well. You have to open the google app then force closed and the feed will then display two columns when open. Problem is then you'll have to do that again when you close your phone to get it back to a single column.

Mine is back to two columns but now so is the front screen. And this looks silly.

So in the display settings (when unfolded) there is a setting (screen layout and zoom) that changes from standard to multi... I think this setting is now global vs different from main screen to cover screen. I've noticed changing this will switch from one column to two columns

So for me it is random. It seems to be if I open (swipe to) Google News on the outer screen then open to the inner screen it seems to then trigger the odd formatting.

I'm getting this randomly, sometimes in the front with 2 columns or in the inside with one column... but... we are still in beta. 😉
