4K, 8K and Other TVsI just bought a new Samsung QN55Q80BAFXZA and it was the worst set up I have ever had! From getting my old wall mount attached to navigating though the messy home screen, I thought I was going to smash it all to pieces and take it back for a refund.
But, I worked it all out and got it up and running, save for one thing:
I can not get Alexa to turn the TV on.
It will turn off via Alexa no problem. The TV will turn on via the remote. The TV will turn on via the smartThings ap.
The TV and Alexa are on the same network. The wifi signal is good to to TV. I renamed the TV just "TV" in both the Alexa ap and the smartThings ap. I have removed and readded the TV a number of times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the smartThings ap. Voice assist is turned on in the TV.
I've updated all the aps in both phone and TV.
Still nothing works. I have read a number of threads everywhere I can find it and this seems to be a real problem, but none of the solutions mentioned worked. I don't the chat and no help there. Frankly I am at me wits end and very unhappy.
Someone please help

4K, 8K and Other TVsJust out of curiosity, are you using the built-in Alexa on the TV or the Amazon Echo for the TV on command?

4K, 8K and Other TVsI am using the living room echo device. We have turned off the wake word on the TV so they will not get confused.

4K, 8K and Other TVsYeah, for me, when using my Amazon Echo to turn on the TV, the echo chimes but TV doesn't power back on. Sometimes, it says that command does not work on that TV. No problems either when doing the power off command.

4K, 8K and Other TVsSame here. "Device is not responding" or "ok" and nothing happens.
I see that on a lot of threads online. Does not seem to be a real solution.
