Hi,

I have a 65" KS8000 (Model: UN5KS8000FXZA) that is having the same power cycling issue that has been reported in the threads below.

https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/4k-8k-and-Other-TVs/KS8000-another-failure-power-cycling/td-p/21...

My Samsung was purchased on 1/24/2017 - most of the KS8000s with issues in the other threads were purchased in late 2016-early 2017, suggesting an issue with a particular manufacturing date/model.

In short, when I try to turn it on the backlight comes on for about one second, and then it cycles off for about five seconds, is on for one second, then cycles off for five. I have tried all of the suggestions in the threads above from the Samsung staff; they either do not work or can't be done (e.g. the software can't be updated as it never powers on for any length of time).

This is extremely frustrating, as it seems to be a consistent issue with TVs sold in a specific time frame, and this should be fixed. What can be done?

Hello! I understand how this can be frustrating with your TV power cycling if this is still occurring after attempting all troubleshooting then this will require service, you have a couple of options based on your warranty.

- If your unit was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service set up.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, you can use this link below to find a service center in your area.

This started happening to my too with my UN65KS8000FXZA. I purchased it in Nov 2016 with an Oct 2016 build date. Everywhere I have read say it is unrepairable. You can't even replace the motherboard and it requires everything including the panel to be replaced because of a sequence timing issue between them. Samsung will need a service tech to come check it out. It will need to be replaced. It's very frustrating to have a $2000 TV do this after only 5 years. Thousands of others are having the same issue on the same TV built around the same time too.
