More venting here than anything - So I have a brand new QN90B with Atmos Surround Sound system. I was hoping to simply my life and not have any external streaming devices and just use the apps on the TV - but that so far has been very disappointing. Specifically, DirecTV Stream and Paramount+ only stream in 2.1 Audio. (Really?)
Who writes these apps as that is so disappointing and really doesn't say much for Samsung. Now it's back to trying to find the best streaming device between Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV and making sure their apps provide 5.1 audio.
Just adding additional information for others that may search this topic. I went ahead and decided to purchase Apple TV 4K and give that a try as I could return it easily if needed. Happy to report that it does 5.1 Audio and seems to be working quite well.
