Looks like a tear in the backlight cover.

I have a UN65NU8000 4k TV bought in 2018 which is showing what looks like a tear in the covering of the backlight in the middle bottom of the picture.

Easy noticeable when picture area is white as it shows it much brighter. Is about a foot long vertical.

Any idea what this is.

Backlite is bleeding through, had that issue on a Tablet that Samsung refused to fix and took 2 months for a refund from them

Thanks, but the unit is out of warranty. So don't think Samsung will fix this.
