I've seen a few others with the same issue, I just want Samsung to be abundantly aware of their manufacturing defects. My UN55NU6900 is about 1.5-2 years old, and has recently been experiencing horrible shadowing across about half the screen. At first I thought it was an LED backlight panel, until the shadow moved from the left side to the right side of the screen. Now I believe it's a board or video processor. This is not an input issue, and troubleshooting all points to the tv itself. Meanwhile, my 9 year old Samsung Plasma still works like a dream. I've read that there is some type of class-action suit pending for some of these models, but I would rather some type of credit towards a new model, if I am to continue buying Samsung. This is either faulty hardware or planned obsolescence. My tv has been rendered completely unusable. Please advise. (Unless you're advice is to spend $200 for a tech to tell me what I already know)

I'm sorry to hear that, if this is occurring on all sources and during the picture test then this will require service. you have a couple of options based on your warranty.

- If your unit was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service set up.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, you can use this link below to find a service center in your area.
