I figured it out!
1st - Get the latest update for your tv.
2nd - Go to Network Settings and it will update the firmware for your router.
2 DIFFERENT UPDATES/FIRMWARES
1 for the tv and 1 for the router (internet connection)
My guess is anytime an update is available, it turns back on as a way of letting us know.
This worked for me, thus far.
I have a 75" Q65F it hasn't turned back on.
I have suddenly started having this problem as well.
Back in March, I bought three of these TVs and one of them have started turning on at random times. I came homr from work last night and the TV was on.
All of the TVs have 4K Apple TVs connected and two of them have Xfinity boxes connected
I have no idea why only one of the TVs is turning on at random times.
I have the same problem with my new samsung tv 75mu8000, here at Arizona.
Tv keep turning itself on. It seems that it can't be stopped, when turning on,
it's with full volume so it's a problem if you just went to sleep.
For now we are not turning it with the remote, keeping it always on with low volume.
I'm on latest firmware and I have enabled anynet+:
No occurence of the issue so far, I have not plugged back my soundbar to the HDMI ARC port though, this will be the final test
Same thing is happening to me. I have a un65mu8000. Every morning we wake up the tv is on. It has even turned on a couple times during the day. I took back the sony sound bar I bought at the same time and got a samsung one to see if the sound bar was causing it to kick on. We only have a ps4 and Chromecast connected to the tv. Only had the tv 5 days but it's done it everyday. Support had taken control of the tv 2 times and we have soft and hard reset it several times. Gonna give it a couple more days before we take it back.
It happened to me at 3AM this morning. My 2018 MU8000 turned on and woke me up. The tv is is in an adjacent room. Either I have a ghost or there is a problem with this tv.
