How do you determine the specs that the TV is reproducing when streaming? I have no idea what is being sent to my Samsung Hw-q70r soundbar or what the video resolution being sent from the streaming service either Via my TV or Apple TV.
I have a Samsung 55" Q7 QLED less than a year old..
Have you tried using the remote
1st pressing the home (smart hub)
2nd left scroll to the source
3rd scroll up and select the source and press enter (select button)
Then view the top right of the tv screen should see, depending on content
3840 x 2160p Input Signal Plus
Day Date Time
i.e. This is my example watching
Netflix's Lost In Space 4k Dolby Vision on AppleTv 4k box.
Also in the second step scroll to Settings
Picture mode should have A play icon with the letters HDR.
It would be nice if Samsung could make this easier to access and the data
would stay longer on screen in a future update.
When using my Samsung 4k BD play I get more detailed info
including audio info. This info comes from the BD player not the Tv
if memory serves.
I hope this helps
