Samsung's Tizen TV apps for Disney+, Showtime Anytime, Starz are not currently streaming Dolby Digital 5.1, while all other streaming apps are. Those three are streaming only Dolby Digital 2.0, and in the case of Showtime and Starz, this has been the case for months, with no updates to correct the problem. The new Disney+ app available today also has this problem.
I have contacted Samsung about this, and they say they will communicate with the app developers. This is obviously a glitch in the Samsung version of these apps, since all three stream in 5.1 on other devices, such as the Apple TV 4k. Has anyone heard anything else about this problem?
I have 2019 Samsung Premium UHD TV. Only getting stereo audio from Disney+. I tried Optical Out from the TV to my receiver and ARC. Neither one game my Dolby Digital. No problem with Netflix or HBO GO.
