Is this normal for a Samsung tv?

I recently bought an RU7100 4k tv and noticed a shadow along the bottom. I've never personanlly owned a tv - always watched things on the ones my siblings owned, so I'm not sure if I'm just being picky or not with the picture but it is very distracting for me. 

My sister's Vizio doesn't have this and my brother had a Samsung QLED that kinda looks the same but less pronounced, so I'm wondering if this is just a Samsung thing.

No, not normal. You probable hace a detective TV, one with bad pixeles.
