Bought a NU6series, but it's not detecting the cable input. It's plugged into HDMI 1, but the message is there's no input and to check the source. The cable box is on and I can verify it's sending a signal by popping it into the old tv.
When I toggle through TV input sources, I see an additional "source" that is the cable box's name (I labeled it through the cable box menu/interface), but selecting it shows a bunch of file folders (as though a pc) of channel numbers. Factory reset and setting up doesn't work.

Unfortunately not by yourself. You can do the TV reset, but it keeps network settings. To get a true full reset, you'll need a service reset. It can be done over the phone with our television support team at 800-726-7864 though if you wanna give them a call. If the service reset also doesn't seem to help, my next recommendation would be repairs to have a tech come take a look.
You have the latest firmware installed on the TV. Has this always been a problem or is this a new symptom?
It's been this way since first set up, which was yesterday.
Does the symptom sound familiar, that a bunch of channel number file folders would be displayed? Seems like the TV is reading the cable box as a PC.
Just to confirm, have you spoken with your provider about re-initializing the cable box?
