I have an UN65TU8000 and decided to play at 1440p resolution. I have noticed some screen tearing at the mid bottom of the screen while game modecis turned on. If I turn it off, tearing goes away, but the screen gets really dark. I saw another topic and the user managed to fix by changing the refresh rate to 120hz. Problem is, the TU8000 is 60hz. I am not sure what to do to get this fixed.

Give this link a shot: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01202526/ Also ensure that you have the unit fully updated. If this does not help I recommend letting a service technician have a look. Send your full model code and serial number via private message to get started.

I'm sorry to hear that, are you using it on a pc? If so are you using the DSR option in the GPU control panel?

Yes I am using a pc. I have checked the control panel and the dsr is disabled by default. It only happens while game mode is active and the resolution is different from 1080p or 4K. I need to play my games on 1440p, but the tearing looks terrible.

I managed to fix the issue. I noticed the screen size was set to fit. I disabled that function and the tearing is gone.

Can you clarify how you fixed this? I'm having the same issue with the same model tv.
