I just got 55" TU700D TV and see that there is a 1420 firmware available from the Samsung website. When I go to Support > Updates in the TV and it looks for updates it shows that no updates are available. When I downloaded the firmware to USB and put in the USB slot on TV and try to install it shows that no updates are available. My current firmware version installed on the TV is 1410. How do I update this? Is this TV just delayed in seeing the update? Maybe the update will come weeks or months later?
I updated my 60" TU7000 firmware to 1420 today. I couldn't do it directly through the internet either but was able to upgrade via USB. Did you extract the .zip file to the USB's root folder (meaning that it's not inside a sub folder)? The USB I used was formatted with a FAT32 file system, but I'm not sure if that matters.
