How can this query be marked as solved? The question is: where is the YouTube TV app for "older" Samsung smart tvs? "I don't know" is not a solution.

The YouTube TV developers have made the decision not to provide an app for these televisions. They have movet from the Flash platform to the HTML5 platform.

To solve this, I just picked up a Roku on Amazon.
Problem solved and it works better than a chromecast.

Same problem here. .. apparently I own an obsolete 2015 tv..... this is an embarrassment for Samsung. ... get with it. ... won't buy another Samsung tv.... enough competition anyways. ..

This is not solved. Many of us have elected to leave cable and satellite tv. YouTube TV is the best option at present. Why won’t our pre 2016 smart tv download that app?

This isn't a solution, it is just an excuse

This is terrible. I have a 2015 “Samsung Smart TV” and can’t get an update for firmeware or software that will allow me to use YouTube TV? This is rediculous and absolutely unprofessional. The tv is just a few processors and a screen. You could provide an update but you’re demanding we upgrade instead of delivering customer service. No way to solve the YouTube TV issue and you’ve know about this for more than a year.
