Ok, so this is quite annoying for me because I just can't understand the source of the issue. So basically anytime I record either a video or just sound via voice recorder there's a lot of sound distortion. Any slightly loud sound coming from a few feet from the microphones is pretty much inaudible, is like distorted, crackling, muffled, I just don't know how to describe it because I've never heard this quality of sound in a media recorded with fairly recent hardware in a relatively normal environment. And that's actually the biggest issue, no extremely noisy environment is needed for this problem to occur.
I've tried cleaning both mics (although the phone is pretty much brand new), resetting (even in safe mode), made sure the phone was up to date, and all of that basic troubleshooting but none of that has fixed the issue. I'm starting to wonder if maybe this is just a faulty couple of mics. Because that's in fact the biggest issue, it seems both microphones have the problem while testing them separately on the members app. Which to me makes this even more strange, because why would both mics have the same issue and be faulty. Then again, no clear sign of this being a software issue exists, since I even tested it with third party apps and same thing happens.
I uploaded this video sample of how it sounds like to show anyone how pretty much every video sounds like, and then it's apparent why this should be simply unacceptable.
I'm making this post in hopes that someone more tech savvy knows what should be next step since the whole ordeal of sending it for repair while it's not quite clear what the root of the problem is doesn't seem appealing at all and would prefer to avoid if possible, but if it's just a clear problem with hardware that should be fixed then I guess will have to consider the option.
