My fingerprint sensor is not responding. Earlier it said to try again later. I waited a while and tried again and it completely removed my fingerprint saved. Upon restarting my phone, hard restart, going to attempt to reenter my fingerprint it just says settings and a blank screen. Using the members app trying to test everything it will actually pop up to set one for the test but says its not currently working to restart phone. After attempting this several times. I'm still having no luck. I have cleaned my phone top to bottom. There is a very distinct possibility the sensor has gotten wet. It was in my apron pocket at work and i was out clearing snow not realising i had gotten some in my pocket. I am very open to suggestions. I even saw a tiktok where someone said to dial *#0*# and the sensor says its working, when i tap it it reads na. There is no version number and when i go to sensor info its just a red line. I have not been able to restart my phone in safemode to see if i could do it that way. Please help!
I am unsure if your device came equipped with a small circular sticker positioned precisely where the fingerprint scanner is located. This sticker is designed to secure the screen protector during installation. However, it has the drawback of inhibiting fingerprint detection. In my case, which involves a Note 20, this issue affected the functionality of my device.
