A Series & Other MobileIs there anyone else who is having severe battery drainage issues with their A32 5g phone? Since yesterday I have had a problem and it seems to have only appeared after a samsung app update.

A Series & Other MobileAfter an update all phones have more battery usage. It takes power for an update to install and put all the pieces in place. The battery will normalize after it finishes setting up and relearns usage patterns. Do you really think that updates don't use battery resources?

A Series & Other MobileI've never seen an update use so much battery before, so I don't think it's a coincidence.

A Series & Other MobileIt's not a coincidence. This is a bigger update than you've ever had before. As I understand it, in order to make updates appear to complete faster, the framework gets installed and everything else gets put into place/downloads in the background, including any updates and patches to the system itself and it checks every single app you have for compatibility and updates. Yes, it uses much more battery for that, but you are also using your phone more at the same time (don't say you aren't), as you are going through the settings and tweaking things to your liking, which also uses battery resources. The battery will normalize within 14 days as it finishes up and relearns your normal usage patterns. Batteries have a finite capacity, that's why you have to charge them, and for one to think that a major update of this type uses no resources...well, that's not thinking at all.

A Series & Other MobilePlease do NOT insult me, as I can categorically say that I am definitely NOT using my phone more to make the battery drain as quick as it is. For example the other day my phone was sat unused on my desk for 3 hours, in that time it had lost in excess of 30% of its battery. It has now been nearly 14 days and it is definitely NOT normalising, and if anything it is getting worse.

A Series & Other MobileI assure you that you are. You may not even realize it. Your screen on time has changed, and you are busy looking to see what changed and to reconfigure your settings. Even if you are correct that you just updated your phone and put it down and just followed your normal usage patterns, the PHONE itself is doing stuff in the background. The update has not completely finished, some things get put in place after the initial install. They do this to get you back into action instead of waiting hours for an update to complete. The system is trolling the background looking for updates to both the OS/UI and ALL your apps. Any update drains a lot of power initially until it stabilizes. Also, you have a WHOLE NEW OPERATING system. The adaptive battery needs time to relearn your usage patterns along with the battery needs of the new system. You need 7-14 days for the battery to adapt and even out.
If you felt insulted, that's on you. I was just stating the obvious.
