A Series & Other MobileI've had this phone for a couple of months. It is NOT my daily use phone. It stays on my nightstand and I listen to podcasts though it and use it as an alarm clock. I am using the Samsung charger that came with the phone. Recently I started getting the dreaded "moisture in charging port" warning. I live in the desert where humidity is 0% most of the year. Researching this further I have discovered that if I turn on and off fast charging, clear the USB cache, and restart the phone, it will charge normally for a few days and then the process repeats. Obviously, this is a software issue and not a hardware problem. Surely Samsung knows about this but continues to offer "dry the charging port" as the only solution. Surely, I can't be the only one with this problem, am I?

A Series & Other MobileThe port sensor will also detect debris and damage as a moisture issue. Make sure your port is clean. Don't assume Samsung is aware of anything, as many people complain, but few put in an actual error report. Not everyone who has the "moisture" issue has it because of the same cause. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692?src=ShareByUserCM
Just because a couple of basic software manipulations make the problem go away for awhile does not mean it's a software issue. If you believe it to be a software issue, factory reset your phone. Since it's still under warranty, you can also bring it on for evaluation and service.

A Series & Other MobileTo be clear, this phone sits on a bedside table. In contrast, I have another Galaxy A Series phone that travels with me. It has been in rain, snow, and desert sand and has NEVER had this problem, yet a brand new phone that never leaves the house does? I'm not buying it. Especially knowing that I can fix the problem temporarily by restarting it. No, this is clearly a software issue known to the community based on how many Reddit posts there are about this exact same problem. My bet is that Samsung knows what the problem is but can't fix it. Hence the endless dribble of "Dry out your charging port with a fan" nonsense.
