A36 NO HEADPH JACK

I hate that the A36 doesn't come w/a headphone jack so that I'm forced to use wireless Bluetooth ear buds which is sometimes inconvenient. There are times when I need to switch phones real quick and it's easier when I'm able to just unplug my headphones from one phone then plug into the next. Plus Bluetooth ear buds constantly need charging & there are times I don't want to have to wait for buds to charge before I can use them or to have to hassle w/trying to find a pair that are ready to go therefore it's much easier to be able to just plug in an old school pair of headphones. Had I known the A36 didn't come w/that feature I wouldn't have settled for it (I recently switched from Verizon to Xfinity & the A36 was the free phone offered for signing on w/them, now I see why). I also hate how all Samsung phones will switch into landscape mode if you just barely turn the screen a bit & regardless if you have the screen rotation feature off it rotates anyway & I wish Samsung would fix that so that if I have the rotate screen feature off it would be nice for the phone to actually stay locked into whatever mode I choose instead of bypassing my choice & rotating screen anyway. You need to correct these issues Samsung otherwise I give this ph 2 stars

Sorry, the headphone jack was eliminated several years ago and won't be returning. Phones that still offer a headphone jack in 2025 are few and far between. You may consider purchasing USB C wired headphones if you need a non-wireless option. These can be found for as little as ~$5 at many online retailers. Here is one example: https://a.co/d/29jzRs7

Your screen orientation lock should stay set. If for whatever reason it isn't staying locked, try reinforcing the desired behavior using a routine.

I have attached a screenshot of an example routine. You may change the conditions to meet your specific needs, such as opening certain apps.

Headphone jacks are a thing of the past, however you could purchase a Headphone Adapter from Amazon as an alternative fix.

you can always buy A35 or A26, next time please make sure read the spec of the phone so you get what you need

personally i prefer wearing buds, it's simple, because i can connect buds to my phone/laptop/smartwatch, also i have no worry about cable tearing off. I mean yea battery is the problem, buds battery can swollen anytime and i can't replace it, but usually it take around 5 years before buds battery getting swollen, also i don't mind let my buds charge for an hour

I have a A36 too. As CEParsons stated is to create a routine. I have screen rotation off and created a routine to rotate on certain apps. It works well for me.

I wear hearing aids so the phone jack is no issue for me.

Well, didn't you look at the phone before you accepted the deal? There are usually demo models in the showroom (or in any store, for that matter). Looking up the specs online is also an option. If the deal was advertised before you switched, you had an opportunity to research the phone before switching. As, the others have said, buying an adapter is an easy solution. As for the rotation, some apps are programmed to override rotation settings because the developers optimize them for that mode.

I totally agree, I hate that the newer phones dont come with jacks anymore. It sucks sometimes when the Bluetooth connects and then disconnects at times.

I totally agree, I miss the head phone jack. It was great when I had my first car with no Bluetooth, only a cassette with an aux, or when theres an aux cord near by. The world is updating. If you want a phone with a headphone jack, you might have to buy an older phone like the S10. Bluetooth isnt so bad once you get used to it 🙂
