Well it is with deepest regret that I updated my A54 5g to the February 2026 software update that AT&T released today (and yes it is an unlocked phone) and the wipe cache partition has indeed been removed.

It is so very unfortunate that Samsung decided to remove that self help piece of software as it has helped the individual phone owner to address so many different issues.

I know it will never be returned for us to be able to use as once they remove something like that it will never be returned.

RIP wipe cache partition and thank you for all the helpful services you assisted me with.

I have a Samsung Galaxy A16 5G running android 16. And I noticed that the Wipe Cache Partition is not shown. It only shows full factory reset. I know I have a lower price Samsung phone, so please be kind with any advice on how to fix this. Thank you

There is no fix. The Wipe Cache Partition option was removed during the February Security Update.

OK thank you. Before they (Samsung) took it away I would do a wipe cache partition cleaning once a month. Again, thank you for responding

The good news is wiping device cache no longer needs to be done manually, which is why it was removed. It now occurs automatically after updates, reboots, and in the background during idle periods such as overnight charging.

You can still clear individual app caches, clear memory in device care, and re-optimize your device in Good Guardians.

EDIT: Re-reading your post, Good Guardians is likely not available for your specific device. Apologies for that oversight

Thank you, I was previously using good guardians on my a71 5g but I now have this one. I am glad that Samsung brought good guardians over to the A16 5G. I appreciate your information. Again, thank you
