Hello userXcYw933Y0Y, thank you for your feedback. I understand your frustrations with your device not showing Adapt Sound under Hearing Enhancement feature. As nullandvoid stated to turn on Adapt Sound you have to turn the feature on under Hearing Enhancement: Settings> Sounds and Vibrations> Sound quality and effects> turn the switch on

Please be advised that this feature is only available on specific models. If you do not see this feature underneath the Hearing Enhancement Setting then unfortunately it is not available on your device.

Be sure your device is up-to-date

You can check to make sure a third party app is not causing you to not be able to see the setting:Booting your Samsung Galaxy into Safe mode | Samsung CA

Adapt sound is in accessibility/hearing enhancements. You have to toggle it on and set it. If you previously had it set, an update could have turned it off. It's also possible that your hearing changed and you may have to adjust the settings. Also, adapt sound does not apply to the device speakers, only BT connected devices.

What UI are you on?  It is possible that the A16, being the low end model does not or no longer has the setting because it does not have the hardware to accommodate it.  Did you have it previously on this phone or did you have it on a previous phone?  If it was a previous phone, what was the phone?
