After latest update, no mobile data, cant open apn settings...

called carrier company no help at all. did factory reset, network reset, can make calls and receive calls/texts but no mms nor mobile data. had the phone/sim for a month. cant change apn settings because apn settings doesn't open. seems customer service is no help. whats the best/next option i have if any?? request new sim. had to use Odin to force update when i first received phone. carrier is assurance wireless. im out of options

The issues you describe are all carrier-related. If they're no help, I think your best option is to drop them and move on to a different carrier.

I don't know about T-MOBILE, Verizon also blocks access to APN.

I've been able to modify APN in the past on T-Mo. I'd have to move my SIM over to this phone to check, but I don't think that's changed.

EDIT: Just checked on the other phone. Looks like they don't allow APN modifying anymore, but I can add & configure a new one.

I've never had to change my APN because I have an Unlimited Unlimited plan. Data and Hotspot that is what that means.

I've had to modify APN in the past when I was having MMS issues. Could've been a different carrier at the time, though.

APN unlocking is carrier dependent, if it is grayed out on your device your carrier does not allow it. It is grayed out on my S25U on Verizon too!
