Updates that remove options! Time to switch from Samsung, after years. Everytime there is an update my homescreen gets rearranged, I loose functions and gain functionality that I don't even want! Todays update has removed the alarm notification from the status bar on my home screen. Why would anyone decide to take away a notification function like an alarm icon????? It's a simple thing, but something that is very aggravating. Was on to samsung help and told it's no longer available. Also how I power off the phone has changed! Tired of this stuff! Give us the choice on functionality please! Bye bye Samsung!!

Relax, the alarm indicator icon is on the secondary status bar when you pull down the quick panel.  I noticed that many of the "missing" icons (alarm, BT) are there. If it's not showing, make sure you have Good Lock's QuickStar module and select the visibility of indicator icons and make sure that the alarm indicator is turned on.  You can also change the button action back to the power off option. Settings/advanced features/side button.  Choose long press and select power off menu.

Still no fun having changes made, and you to scratch your head in how to figure this **bleep** out. If not for these forums, then I wouldn't have known what to do to solve my issues with the latest updates. Samsung pls make updates that make sense protecting our info and our data, not changing features for the worst. I didn't want iPhone. I spent almost a $1000 on the 24 to get an iPhone copy. šŸ™ƒ

If you don't want changes, always buy an older phone that's out of its update cycle. With updates come changes - what would be the point of updates otherwise? Many of the changes were Android changes.  The update in no way resembles an iPhone.

Always keep a few notifications that play in reverse in your "hip pocket" for ties like these. But just in case check your clock to make sure it's calibrated properly after maintenance.

Is this supposed to make any kind of sense?

It was a brain teaser, but whether or not it makes sense isn't my obligation fren. Try it out, make a notification that runs in reverse, have a laugh about it when it clicks. And if it dclicks hard enough and in reverse, maybe some lost functionality will spring back up in your quick panel. šŸ˜„ I use audiolab.

Mines still there,. Why would an update rearrange your homescreen?

They might be referring to the icon changes.  I never had an update rearrange my home screen.
