Battery link does not function, power button does not power off phone

Since the update on 6-10, battery link does not function, power button does not power off phone or restart it. It DOES bring up and turn off the screen. 

Was going to switch carriers today, but might not be able to restart phone.

It has nothing to do with your carrier.

Just mentioned the carrier because now I am not going to change because I don't know if I will be able to restart the phone due to the update.
Thanks for the link, but all I show is battery saver icon and doesn't work, nor does battery icon work in settings. If I press poser saver in display, it gives an ertor "app continues to stop"

Also I just noticed it says "charging" by the battery icon in settings I unplugged it 3 hours ago.

Go to Settings
Click on Advanced Features
Click on Side Button
Click on Long press
Set it to Power Off Menu

Thanks, that fixed the power off restart issue. Now, just the battery links don't work, and can't change screen time out

Won't allow. It says to adjust in power saving. The link to it goes back to display and if I press it again it gives error app keeps stopping. Battery icon in settings doesn't work and is frozen showing charging when it has been unplugged for 5 hours

What is the storage capacity on your phone and how much are you using?

You can always access the power menu by pulling down on the upper right of the screen and tapping the power icon.

Power link in settings, quick menu, and link in display doesn't work since the 7 update. If I press it 2xs I get an error stating app keeps stopping

Press & hold the power button until the phone turns off. This may take longer than a minute. Then follow these instructions (starting at step 2) to clear device cache:

1) Turn off your device.

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.
