When I input new contacts into my Galaxy a71 cell phone, they do not automatically sync to my Galaxy Tablet A9,+. Settings on both devices are set for auto sync. I have done troubleshooting with Samsung Help to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas?

First off have you gone to settings > contacts and made sure that the correct account is set as default?

Move your contacts to Google and you will have access to them on every device logged into your Google account

I did do that, and they are still not synced. In fact, there are nothing but complaints on the Google Play app with people saying that their contacts are not syncing.šŸ˜‚

Sorry to hear that I have no issue. Do you have Google as your default location for all devices? Sync is for when you have contacts saved to various places, such as device, SIM, Samsung Account. They will all be stnced to Google contacts. If Google contacts is set as your default, contact you add from any device eill end up in Google contacts.Google has been my only location for contacts for 15+ years.

Thank you for all of your advice. I spent so much time yesterday working with Samsung to try to solve this problem, none of which worked, that it will be less time consuming for me to just add new contacts manually to both of my devices! šŸ˜‚

In the contacts app for each of your devices, do the following: Make sure that Google is the primary location.  If you have contacts in any other location, the issue gets confused.  Go to the contacts app, tap the line menu on the left, when the slide out panel appears, in the oblong window it will say "all contacts".  Tap that and make sure that Google is selected.  This will make Google the default save location for contacts.  If you have contacts anywhere else, tap on "mange contacts" in the menu and move all those contacts to Google.  You will then be able to access, add, modify and delete contacts from any device and have them all be the same as long as all your devices are logged into the same Google account.  The beauty of Google contacts is that you can access them from anywhere as long as you have access to a web browser.

I did so many things yesterday to try to fix this problem, I lost track of what I did and didn't do! I will go through all of your instructions again and make sure everything is as it should be. You've been a tremendous help, thank you so much!
