Delete paired items from Bluetooth (not just unpair)

Hi, I hope you can help me.

My hearing aids were paired on my Samsung A35. I have had to replace one hearing aid. I then 'paired' them again. However, the hearing aid I didn't replace shows as one Bluetooth connection, and my new hearing aid as another 😒 I cannot get the new pair to show as one connection, and I need to delete the two available connections. If I unpair they come back as two separate entities, and a reset still brings them back!! How can I delete them so my phone can identify a new pairing, please? TIA.

To close this query, and thanks again to those of you offering help.

1) the new 'pair' of hearing aids were not correctly paired at the hospital, and

2) Bluetooth hearing aids do not require a QR code - they are paired solely via Settings on my phone.

Everything works perfectly now, and I don't anticipate any further issues 😁

If you unpair the old device, it effectively "forgets" it and deletes it.  You can then pair the new device.  Always unpair an old device before attempting to pair a new device unless, of course, you want multiples (for instance I have a couple of pairs of the same model ear buds from the same brand) - in which case, you would just rename one of the devices so you can tell the difference between them.

I can see that my problem is that I just 'paired' my new pair, which, of course, included an existing hearing aid. I did not unpair the exiting relationship first. 😭 So, am I stuck now with not being able to pair my new combo?

You are not stuck.  Just simply unpair all hearing aid devices and start the pairing process again with only the new set.

Thank you. Unfortunately, every time I unpair them and try to pair the new combo, the two old pairings re_appear. I've deleted them via Smart Things, and they still came back!

That should work. You can try resetting your wifi and BT connections. You will have to rehpair all you BT devices and re establish you wifi connections, but that should solve the issue. You might try unpairing the two sets of hearing aids and then deleting the phone cache before doing that, though. I have a feeling your new hearing aid was not properly paired with the old one, and thats why both devices are showing up and pairing. You may have to vontact your audiologist or the manufacturer to find out how to pair the the two aids to each other

Thanks again. I have reset the Wi-Fi and connections, but to no avail. The audiologist was definitely not confident of the computer system, so it may be there's the issue. They work ok paired on my Signia app, so I'm bamboozled...… I'll speak with the audiologist and the manufacturer. Thank you again.

Yeah, I think the only way it will pick up two pairs of hearing aids is if the aids are not properly paired to each other as a set.  I think even if you left them paired separately, one might be a little behind the other in sound capture and you won't be hearing in stereo, you will be hearing in echo, if they were both able to be connected at the same time.  It's like when my earbuds got unpaired from each other - it was a real pain to re-pair them to each other, but I ultimately did it.

I don't know why your response game through a second time, but I did give a response.  You are not stuck.  Just simply unpair all hearing aid devices and start the pairing process again with only the new set.
