Galaxy A16 lags at certain times

Hello! If you don't mind, I'm gonna share some backstory about my Samsung using so you don't assume I'm new.

My first Samsung was a Galaxy S6 edge. It was carriered by AT&T, but my carelessness costed it it's whole life. The next Samsung was a Galaxy Note FE, which was originally my aunt's phone but she gave it to me after getting the iPhone 8 somewhere between 2018-2020. However, then my carelessness again costed it it's whole life. Next up was the Galaxy J6, and I don't know what happened to it. Next, Note 9. First One UI phone I think. It died in 2024-2025. Now, the A52 came in in 2022. It fell down the stairs and died. That was my first A series with the punch hole. I'm now using a Galaxy A16.

Anyways, my phone tends to lag at random times, there was this one instance where it froze then came back to life. Anyone who experienced this? Also, I'm a Filipino, so I don't know what the A16 uses as a processor, since it depends on what region.

Lag do you mean freeze or lag after using a app or when does it happen

Go to settings, display, motion smoothness, make sure its set at 120 refresh rate

A16 only goes to 90Hz

With the A16 it is best always keep closing apps and using device care to clean RAM.

You also need to keep on top of clearing cache in apps, especially email, social media and browsers. The more storage and RAM you use the lagging your phone is going to be.

Use ram + in settings

It could be just that it's an A16 and thus doesn't have the processing might to keep up with whatever you are doing
