Hello, @communityhelper. Welcome to the Samsung Community!
Iโ€™m sorry youโ€™re running into trouble updating Google Photos, that can definitely be frustrating.
When you get a free second please let us know your exact Aโ€‘series model, Android version, and what message (if any) you see when the update fails. Once we have that, we can narrow down the cause and get this updated successfully for you.

@commumityhelper, thanks for the prompt response.

A good next step is to restart the device, ensure thereโ€™s enough storage space, and clear the cache for Google Photos and the Google Play Store. If the issue continues, please share the Android version and any error message you see so we can narrow this down further..

I have 99 gigabytes of storage so that's not the problem and the other stuff didn't work

@commumityhelper. As the next step, please try uninstalling Google Photos updates (Settings > Apps > Google Photos > Uninstall updates), restart the device, and then attempt the update again from the Play Store. If it still wonโ€™t update, let us know your Android version and whether the Play Store shows an error message or just stays stuck.

Try this, go to settings.

Google services.

All Services, System Services and check for updates. There should be a Google Play Services update that should fix your problem.
