As the next step, please try uninstalling Google Photos updates (Settings > Apps > Google Photos > Uninstall updates), restart the device, and then attempt the update again from the Play Store. If it still wonโt update, let us know your Android version and whether the Play Store shows an error message or just stays stuck.
