Issue- Messages app malfunctioning when group chat attempts to communicate. Malfunction includes 2 of 4 members texts not being received by myself, i believe that the 2 not being received are samsung galaxy (android) phones and the only messages being received are from an iOS device. Secondary malfunction <Subject: NoSubject> recieved with every text message in group chat from the iOS device.
Attempted correction- accessed messenger settings-more settings- multimedia messages- set "Group conversation" ON - descriptor for setting- "Send text and multimedia messages to multiple recipients as group conversations so that everyone can see all the responses" Additional note- when Group conversation=OFF i receive the individual texts as separate conversations in the Messenger app, so the phone is receiving texts.
Attempted correction- Simple restart, no effect
Attempted correction- install an earlier version of Messages, operation failed, uninstall unsuccessful, Protected app.
Comment- just upgraded my phone from a galaxy S9 edge I've had for 7 years, a bit surprising to be having so much trouble with an "upgrade"
