How to keep the screen turned on while calling someone. I need to enter several codes using the numerical keyboard. Every 3 seconds the screen turns off. This is stressful as sometimes I need to be quick to enter the code.

I saw 3 suggested solutions on the community. Neither of them work on my Samsung A55

1.This doesnt work: On settings, scroll down to Display. Scroll down to screen time out and click on it.
2.This doesnt work: In Modes and Routines, you can set a routine that if during call, then set screen timeout to 10 minutes. I know the screen will turn off after 10 minutes (if you don't touch the screen) but that's what I can think of.
3.turn off adaptive brightness

@Marcel314 This has been a "feature" of Samsung phones for years. I have searched and tried all of the suggestions. None of them work. The bottom line is that you can't change this behavior.

Time for an added feature then

@LongHiker You'd think with all the requests for it they would have included it in the update.  It seems like they added everything no one wanted and nothing that anyone did.

@realaud This "feature" would need to be implemented by the developers of Zoom, Teams, etc. Those apps can detect and block screen content when screen recording is detected.  Sorry, wrong thread.

@LongHiker I see nothing in this post about screen recording. It's about keeping the screen active while on a phone call.  The new module in Good Lock for Display Assistant with the capability to adjust screen time out for individual apps and the addition of the keep screen on icon for the quick panel should solve most of that for OneUI7.  I think you responded to the wrong post.  I remember seeing a post about not being able to share content/record in zoom - perhaps you meant to respond to that post?

@realaud Ah, you're right. Sorry posted on the wrong thread.

I have tried entering a Mode and a Routine for this function. It seems to respond with a pop-up, but still the phone goes dim and then black after about twenty seconds. It seems silly that this is obviously intended to work but it doesn't. Maybe someone could write a third-party app?

Thanks

Good Lock has a new module called Display Assistant.  It has a setting to allow you to set different screen time out periods for different apps (max 10 minutes).  I set the  phone app to stay on for 10 minutes and it appears to work.  For good measure, also add the "keep screen on" icon to the quick panel.  When activated, this will keep your screen on for 30 minutes.  You can activate it prior to making a call if the other setting does not work for you.  So, if you already have Good Lock, download the display assistant. If you don't have it yet, download both.

It seems that Good Lock is not compatible with my device. It is Galaxy A15 5G with UI7 and OS 15.

Oh well!

Thanks for your help.

Thanks
