I find myself deleting e mails by accidently swiping a message. How can I turn that function off?

If you open the Samsung email app

Tap the 3 lines in the top left

Then tap the gear icon

Scroll down you should see swipe option which you can change.

Sorry I don't have my phone in front of me to post a screenshot of the location

I still don't understand. I read my message, but I don't swipe unless I actually intend to delete or archive (one direction for archive, the other for delete). Swiping is a deliberate act.

I'm use to swiping back and forward and forget and accidentally swipe in emails just to realize I can't in the email app

I have accidentally swiped an archived a message that I need. My 15a Galaxy instructions do not match the options it's giving me. Can anyone help?

If there's an "archive" function, there must be an archive folder.  Look for an archive folder and then move the email out of it.

You can use a different mail reader app.  Also, does your mail app not have "trash", where you can restore a deleted message to your inbox?
