I'm currently running Android 16. How do I get rid of all wallpapers so that all I see are icons against a black background? The system is forcing me to choose a wallpaper and I see no Off option.

You can download a pure black wallpaper from Goggle and set it as the Wallpaper that's the only way.  Too have a black background with only the icons.
