I am currently in a tightly packed 3 story backpackers hostel when my Samsung A06 (A065-f) lost display and and started over heating near the unplugged charge port. Temerature was high enough to burn my fingers touching the screen.

Update: The device stopped generating heat and the touch screen started working again, I have now shut it down safely

Glad you were able to shut it down. I notice you said "hostel." Are you currently in Europe? If it's a US device, is it possible there was an issue with the voltage conversion?

Got contacted by local samsung guys, usual muck around.

Got passed around.  Told them my touchscreen wasnt working.  They seemed to agree that the solution to shutting down my phone with side buttons in an emergency on a non-working phone was to use the non working touch screen to change my settings.  ๐Ÿคฆ
