A Series & Other MobileHello,
We are currently experiencing an issue with the Samsung Contacts app when searching for contacts in our Exchange Global Address List (GAL).
This feature has worked flawlessly for many years. However, recently when we search for a contact in the Exchange GAL, the contact appears in the search results, but when we try to open it, the Samsung Contacts app fails to display the details and instead shows the message โContact not found.โ
We are using Samsung Email, and email, calendar, and contact synchronization are all functioning correctly otherwise.
Our devices are currently running Android 16, build version G736BXXUAGYJ6.
Thank you for your help.
Regards,

A Series & Other MobileHello alexPGD, welcome to the Samsung Community! I understand your concerns regarding your contacts not syncing correctly with your Samsung Email. You can clear the cache to both apps (Contacts and Samsung Email): Settings, Select the app, Storage, Clear Cache. Next verify that your Samsung Email is enabled to sync with your contacts: Open the Contacts app, tap Menu (three lines), tap Manage Contacts, Select Sync Contacts and ensure the switch is on to sync to the specific accounts you prefer. You can also set your Default Storage Location to be your Samsung Email: In the contact app under Manage contacts, select set Default Storage Location. When your contacts are sync they will automatically sync as long as you are connected to the internet.
You can also send an error report if you are still experiencing issues: Samsung Members Apps > Get Help > Send Feedback > Error Reports
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

A Series & Other MobileHello,
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, the issue still persists. As mentioned earlier, we are able to see the contacts when searching for them, but when we click on a contact, no additional information is displayed. Instead, we receive the message โContact not found.โ This happens for every user.
It appears to be a bug in the Samsung Email application, specifically with version 6.2.10.8.
Thank you for your help.

A Series & Other MobileHi Alex,
Okay, but how a bug in Samsung email could explain why the Samsung Contacts app can't query the Exchange GAL?

A Series & Other MobileWe have the exact same issue since last week!
Everything configured properly. Worked for many years until last week.
Please give us feedback if the issue is resolved!

A Series & Other MobileHello,
We're experiencing the same issue.
As the phones update (presumably the February 2026 security update?), the Contacts app can no longer query the GAL.
The phones still sync contacts, emails and calendars.
All company phones are affected.

A Series & Other MobileHi, same issue in our company. Regardless of phone exact model and android version, the last samsung email app version can't query the GAL. Installing the APK of the previous version (6.2.07.5) manually was the only workaround we were able to find.
Hoping for a patch, thanks in advance.

A Series & Other MobileSame issue here - i wrote the samsung mail contact mailadress - no response yet
Unfortunately, we can't use the older versions of the app because they don't support EAS 16.1 for Exchange Online. That's why we have to use the latest version, and that's exactly where the bug isโit's really annoying!
same problem described here: https://www.androidenterprise.community/android-enterprise-general-discussions-3/contact-not-found-i...!

A Series & Other MobileWe are experiencing this same issue. Right before updating to version 6.2.10.8 of the Samsung Email App, active sync worked great like it always has, could search for contacts and add them. Right after the update, it shows "Contact not found". This is a big issue affecting our entire company. If anyone can offer help please do. Thanks.
