A Series & Other MobileYou should be using the charging cable that came with your device. Even though they no longer supply a charger, they do supply the cable. You can use any quality charger with the correct wattage. (The people at the repair place are told to tell you it's your fault for using the wrong charger). Note I said quality, so stick with known brands rather than generic; although any charger, really, should be fine. Even an OEM charger can develop a short and fry your phone. In your case, though, if you do not have/cannot find the original cable that came with your phone, you should probably replace both, or buy a charger that comes as a set with a compatible cable.
