Hello I really need help. My a36 updated yesterday and after rebooting says network locked emergency calls only. I've called to get help but my service provider keeps saying there's an outage in my area but it was working fine before the update. It's not my SIM, I put it in another phone and it works fine.

Girl I work with has an A15. I replaced her cracked screen for her and the next day she had the exact same network problem. Turns out the network she is on, Verizon, was in fact down. There are websites like "Isitdown" where you can ck for network or website issues. My best advice would be to wait a bit and see it you get service back. This is exactly what these phones do when you lose service. The only other thing is some phones on some providers have a # number you can dial to reconnect to any available networks, but IDK what that number would be for your phone and provider combo. Ck out the website and see for yourself if your provider is having outages reported in your area. I do remember having to go into my phone settings under connections, uncheck my network provider and then recheck it. Maybe put it into airplane mode then undo airplane mode right after?? Good luck!!

Why's Samsung phones have network issues. Sometimes my Samsung Galaxy a16 network will drop. It randomly lost signal which is weird. But my Google pixel 8a don't do that

Hey there hdr1105,

I definitely can understand the frustrations this may have caused you. Since the update you received, have you attempted to "Wipe the Cache Partition" on your Samsung A36?

Wipe Cache Partition:
1. Turn off your Samsung Galaxy A36.
2. Connect to a PC/Laptop: Connect your phone to a computer using a USB-C cable (this is necessary for newer Samsung models to enter recovery mode).
3. Enter Recovery Mode: Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Side (Power) key simultaneously.
4. Release Buttons: When the Android logo or Samsung logo appears, release both buttons.
5. Navigate Menu: Use the Volume Down button to highlight Wipe cache partition.
6. Confirm: Press the Side (Power) key to select the option.
7. Finalize: Highlight Yes using the volume button and press the Side key to confirm.
8. Reboot: Once "Cache wipe complete" appears, select Reboot system now.

By performing these steps after an update is always good to do as it can fix performance issues like with lagging, freezing, or app crashes, after a software update. This process is completely safe to do and will not erase any data.

Let me know if this helps! ๐Ÿ™‚
