My phone is having trouble locking and the side button doesn't work most of the time when I press it since the July 2025 update. I have bixly and double tap for photos turned off in the advance settings, I've cleared the cache and restarted my phone, neither of these things have helped. I also have instant lock turned on. No settings have changed since before the update and the issue only came after.
I have a A53 5g and again, no settings have changed, this issue only started after the update, it was working fine before.
The update made the side button Gemini control. You have to change it back to the power control. Go to settings/advanced features/side button and change the long press to power button. This will bring back your instant lock.

Thank you! I don't have Gemini on my phone which was probably why it was making it act all weird since it was trying to do something that had been disabled!
