Hello!

I saw a thread mentioning a new biometric update for their Note 20, but their version is 6.0.0.4. Mine says 6.0.0.5. My phone updated to OneUI 4.1 (unlocked, Snapdragon) recently and the notification popped up a couple of days later.

I can't dismiss it. In settings it does say there is an update available. My concern is that it doesn't look like a valid update, especially with the number different.

Thanks!

I did the update that showed up in biometric settings, haven't had a problem since with my fingerprint scanner.

I'm not worried about it messing up functionality, more like malware stealing my fingerprint.

Check in biometric settings, the update should show there.

It does show there is one available, but is it legitimate?

Yes, when I read your post I checked mine and it showed. Alot of people with the S22's were complaining about the finger scanner not working with the 4.1 update to the UI so they sent out an update for the scanner.

I am running on 6.0.0.5 and the finger print no longer recognizes anything and if I try to set up a new print it gets about 60% and then stops recognizing anything
