Latest update Android 12 Broke my phone / no keyboard voice to text

Just applied the latest update (Android 12). Phone no longer has keyboard, voice to text. 

1. Fiddling with settings to try to recover keyboard does not work. 

2. Wiping the cache does not help.  

The device is unusable.

The fix:  I looked into what other apps needed to be updated and one listed was "Android System Intelligence".  After updating this, the keyboard and voice texting worked.

So what is the fix?  I can't use my phone at all!

Go to your google accounts > Manage apps & devices > Updates Available. 

If you see an app named, ""Android System Intelligence".  Update it. 

That's what worked for me.

Go to settings * General Management * Keyboard list & Defaults * Default Keyboard  * make sure from default keyboard either Gboard or Samsung keyboard is selected. Not the English US option.

I can't find this on my S21+.  Can you provide step by step instructions on how to find it?  I can't search because I have NO keyboard! thanks in advance.

1. Launch Google Play Store

2. Press on your profile icon

3. Select "My apps & games"

4. Select "Updates" tab to see updates pending

5. If you see "Android System Intelligence", updated it. 

If that doesn't fix it - it must be something else. but this worked for me.

I tried this but keyboard disappears as soon as I press the microphone icon for talk to text. It's only a temporary fix for me.
