actually, its normal for samsung to discontinue android software updates two years after the phone releases. however, 99% of the time they still get security patches for however long that android version gets supported.
My daughter uses an Iphone 6Plus which now works on iOS 12.
Works like a charm with a (much) better battery life as my S8.
After all these years I've finally seen Apple IPhone becoming the same price like their android competitors (= the Android smartphone got more pricier).
I've allways had Samsung S models but this will be the last one because Samsungs stops updating to the newest Android version after only two years. Sorry to say so but bye bye Samsung...
Show me where they have confirmed this? All the media reports coming out the past 2 days are based on a Samsung customer service rep emailing a disgruntled customer that the S8 would get Android 10. That's definitely not a reliable source and until Samsung releases a press release that says S8 will get Android 10, I for one won't get my hopes up.
