I purchased a 15" Blue Samsung Flex Book 360 in February 2021 from Best Buy. I have used it fewer than 100 times and only at home. Sole User. My wife has an HP-360 laptop, bought in mid-2020.
TONIGHT, I open the lid to my Samsung and it was fine. Upon closing the lid, the screen around the hinge started breaking away from the frame. I can now see little screws and other components under the screen in that left corner. I opened it back up, squeezed the screen back down tight and will not try to close it again.
Has anyone else had this happen? I see quite a few complaints of this same problem, on other support forums across the internet, but the only solutions are 1.) Living with it. 2.) Getting a new top/screen for $250 from Samsung and self-installing. 3.) Taking it to a local computer repair shop. 4.) Buying a new Non-Samsung Laptop.
For those of you who have experienced a similar problem, or have computer repair experience, how do you suggest I proceed? What would YOU do? Thanks in advance for any useful guidance.

Computers3.30.2023
UPDATE: I purchased a new Upper Screen Unit for $299 at NewEgg and installed it 3 days ago.
There are two cords w/connectors attached, that plug into the motherboard.
I think I did one of them incorrectly, because the touchscreen does not work, and my Device Manager says a HID (Human Interface Device) "can't be started".
I hate playing around with the connections, because they're so fragile, but it bugs me that the touchscreen doesn't work...and there are no videos or written instructions (that I can find) which describe the proper way to attach the little connectors. Seemed super easy at the time, but apparently they must be perfectly seated, or something.
At any rate, I'm going have to go against tradition and leave the battery connected and Laptop turned on, while trying to get the connections to the Motherboard just right. Wish me luck!
