Series 9 Notebook NP900X5N end of life?

my Notebook 9 15" with 7th generation Intel i7 hasn't had a BIOS or ME update for 2 years.

is Samsung done with this?

the Samsung updater just wants to give me the Amazon Assistant, that is all.

my 6th generation Dell XPS 13 just got another BIOS and ME update for security fixes dated Jan 2020.

So it looks like this notebook is end of life as far as Samsung is concerned.

I looked up my purchase date, April 2017. so less than 3 years old and effectively forgotten.

Hey @mr_tim. I noticed you asked about ME, which I've taken to mean Intel's Management Engine. Intel hosts this driver on their page, along with iGPU updates.

Re: Series 9 Notebook NP900X5N end of life?

I didn't have good luck when I tried using newer Intel drivers. found it best to stick with Samsung drivers.

yes, Intel ME, but the BIOS update is most important.

I'll give it a couple more months, if no more updates, I'll retire it and look for something new.

Thanks for the reply.
